Yotoco

Hato Viejo Nature Reserve - Yotoco.

This Reserve is a strategic area of 1300 hectares located near  the Yotoco Natural Forest Reserve with areas of  dry forest, premontane forest and geographical valley. Since 2005, the Farallones Foundation has been replicating its work of conservation, protection and floristic enrichment with native species, strengthening the preservation work carried out by the Garcés family, owner of the property, and with the sponsorship of the CVC and the Fund for Environmental Action.

Currently, the Farallones Foundation is developing research around two new native species: Grías and Presilianthus, parallel to other conservation programs, floristic enrichment and community training on environmental issues.
